If you asked Captain Carter Brown what he wanted to be when he grew up, the answer was always the same, a fishing guide in Southwest Florida. Growing up in southern Ohio, Carter lived and breathed the outdoors. If he wasn’t wading through a creek, or sitting in a duck blind, he was practicing knots and watching Reel Time Florida Sportsman. When it came time for college, Florida Gulf Coast University was the only choice. Spending most of his class days on the water, Captain Carter learned more about Pine Island Sound, and the barrier islands of South West Florida than he did math and science.

Today, Carter splits his time between Southwest Florida and Alaska, chasing peak seasons in both locations. In Florida, he specializes in shallow-water fishing, offering light tackle charters throughout the region, alongside a variety of coastal and outdoor experiences. During the summer months, he heads to Alaska to work as a fly-out fishing and brown bear viewing guide, exploring remote wilderness and sharing some of the state’s most remarkable wildlife encounters. His adventures have also led to news interviews and media features, allowing him to share his experiences with a wider audience.

With a laid-back personality, years of experience, and a genuine love for teaching, Captain Carter makes every trip more than just a fishing charter—it’s an adventure.
